You don't have to wait, ask permission or seek validation to do amazing things.

What do you do?

I would describe my job as creatively solving technology problems by designing experiences for everyday users. I use research and data to help me determine what the best way to solve problems and use that information to create the feel and look of the digital products many people love.

Why did you choose this field?

I chose this field because it allowed me to be creative and technology changes fast. I originally had dreams to become an attorney because I enjoyed being able to help others and the challenge of being able to find loopholes and ways to that. However, I realized that law does not change fast enough to accommodate the needs of others as fast as we would like. I was able to get an internship doing UX and I fell in love with it. I knew I made the right choice to pursue it.

What do you look at and think, "I wish younger me would have known this was possible"?

One achievement that I've made is being able to travel and work on multiple

projects for some brands that I had only dreamed of. I wish younger me would

have known to be more confident in going towards design and technology

despite what my parents said because it really was one of the best choices I've

made.

Why do you love working in STEM?

"I love that everyday is a new day."

There is always something new to work on or learn about. Whether it's a new approach or new technology has been created, there really isn't a dull moment. In this industry, it allows me to be able to "create my own destiny".

Best advice for the next generation

There will always be obstacles, there will always be something you may feel that you are not ready to tackle but go for it. Anything you wish to see, you can create and build. You don't have to wait, ask permission or seek validation to

do amazing things.
