WHAT DO YOU DO?
I have over 17 years of IT experience and expertise on design and Implementation of effective solutions using latest digital technologies & methodologies. I have worked for Fortune 50 Organizations in different countries & under the Senior Leadership of Tata Consultancy Services, Techspan, HCL America, Steria, Headstrong and Genpact. The main responsibilities were business expansion, successful delivery and operations, set-up of innovation and competency centres, providing outstanding customer experience and driving value add programs. I am also involved in mentorship and advocacy of Women Leadership in Tech. Currently I am working with an upcoming start-up Data Analytics organization, Veersa Technologies India and on the advisory board of AAPNA Infotech.
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THIS FIELD?
I have loved technology since my childhood. The passion for innovation and excellence helped me to succeed in my engineering and professional career. My determination and willpower has helped me to rise and help others also succeed in their respective careers.
HOW DO/DID YOU TACKLE OBSTACLES?
I faced roadblocks throughout my career journey. I left my career at the peak due to family priorities. But even during the break, I engaged in various social initiatives like building tinkering lab for school, education to under-privileged girls, conducted sessions on online banking, usage of mobile apps etc for less educated women. I restarted my career with a boom. Currently working as Chief Growth Officer for upcoming Tech startup organization, Veersa Technologies and Advisory Board member of AAPNA Infotech. I also got selected by ISB for their prestigious PGPMAX program with immersion at Wharton Business School, USA and top most East Asian University.
WHAT DO YOU LOOK AT & THINK, "I WISH YOUNGER ME WOULD HAVE KNOWN THIS WAS POSSIBLE?"
I always dreamt of higher education at world's top most University. I wish younger me would have known the entire process of scholarship program and visa process. Sometimes, I do think that a good mentor would have imbibed in me the courage to follow my dreams.
WHY DO YOU LOVE WORKING IN STEM?
I would love to mentor women in technology and help them succeed in their personal & professional lives through work-life balance.
STEM will provide me a platform to display my leadership thus helping women across the globe to pursue their career in different fields.
BEST ADVICE FOR NEXT GENERATION?
The ability to think differently, passion for excellence and leadership qualities are essential for young girls to build their personal lives and professional career. They should also focus on continuous improvement through learning at work place and higher education.
