WHAT DO YOU DO?
I perform hands-on experiments to understand materials behavior. I work in interdisciplinary domain of biomaterials. I work on eco-friendly materials to understand the interactions with other materials. I design such materials by understanding the biological , physico-chemical processes. I use these for a more greener environment and sustainability. Currently, I am working on a few projects to develop bio-degradable materials for filters.
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THIS FIELD?
I did my under-grad in Pharmacy and Masters in Bioprocess Technology. I switched to materials because I believe the interdisciplinary research will create a stronger impact in the coming generations.
HOW DO/DID YOU TACKLE OBSTACLES?
I faced many challenges till date. I think hard-work and perseverance pays off!
WHAT DO YOU LOOK AT & THINK, "I WISH YOUNGER ME WOULD HAVE KNOWN THIS WAS POSSIBLE?"
You don't know how far you will reach! Just keep working hard, you might take longer than others.
WHY DO YOU LOVE WORKING IN STEM?
I like to ask "why" and I am always curious.
BEST ADVICE FOR NEXT GENERATION?
Do what you believe in, pursue your dreams with passion.
