Automotive Engineer - Expert in Electric Vehicles
And - Professor
Don’t compare yourself to others, your journey is your journey.
WHAT DO YOU DO?
I am an automotive engineering expert witness specializing in electric vehicles with specific experience in the automotive manufacturing of both OEM components and full vehicle assembly/manufacturing.
My Ph.D. research is on complex battery management systems design and the development of computational representations and reasoning in design to increase the accuracy inside electric vehicles and ensuing battery and driver safety from dramatical situations as battery explosion or fire.
I have worked on multiple sponsored projects funded by partners such as Volvo, Jaguar Land Rover, BMW, and Ford.
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THIS FIELD?
Recently, our planet is fed up with pollution and CO2 emission worldwide.
So, Electric vehicles (EVs) are an important part of meeting global goals on climate change.
The major benefit of electric cars is the contribution that they can make towards improving air quality in towns and cities. With no tailpipe, pure electric cars produce no carbon dioxide emissions when driving. This reduces air pollution considerably. Put simply, electric cars give us cleaner streets making our towns and cities a better place to be for pedestrians and cyclists.
Moreover, generally, I am keen on automotive technologies and innovation.
HOW DO/DID YOU TACKLE OBSTACLES?
I believe that no one comes with a natural ability to withstand challenges.
Obstacles are just “things” that are there to teach and strengthen us for the journey that lies ahead.
So, from my side, I take a little moment to understand, plan then acting.
And as Frank A. Clark said, “If you can find a path with no obstacles, it probably doesn’t lead anywhere.”
WHAT DO YOU LOOK AT & THINK, "I WISH YOUNGER ME WOULD HAVE KNOWN THIS WAS POSSIBLE?"
Believe in yourself first and then others will too, and listen to your intuition!
WHY DO YOU LOVE WORKING IN STEM?
I am looking forward to sharing experiences with all STEM women and being a part of this honorable network.
BEST ADVICE FOR NEXT GENERATION?
Don’t compare yourself to others, your journey is your journey. So, make your unique identity in this world!
The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams
