WHAT DO YOU DO?
I empower digital transformation on a global scale with an IoT platform.
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THIS FIELD?
I was an excellent student with honors and I loved math and science. I was choosing between medicine studies and technology and at the end decided tech because my big brother is in the tech field as well. He has a great influence on me. And I knew that the STEM field is so versatile I can try new things out and the technology is moving and developing so I can grow and expand my knowledge all the time.
WHAT DO YOU LOOK AT & THINK, "I WISH YOUNGER ME WOULD HAVE KNOWN THIS WAS POSSIBLE?"
We moved 6 years ago to Vienna, Austria without any job prospects, no contacts, not knowing German and decided to start from scratch. Met some amazing people here in Austria got great support, grew my network from scratch, built up my career internationally and stayed true to my values.
WHY DO YOU LOVE WORKING IN STEM?
I love bringing technology closer to every day process and people who are not in technology or don’t believe in it (yet). I love solving problems and optimizing process with technology to use the limited resources we have and make the world a better place.
BEST ADVICE FOR NEXT GENERATION?
STEM is so versatile and advancing that offers you opportunities like no other. If you decide that in 5 years you don’t want to be a telecom engineer, you can look to a developers career or IoT career or starting your own app and being an entrepreneur. There are no limits in that sense and that is what excites me and keeps me engaged. I hope it can excite new generations. We need YOU! Whatever problem you see in the community and you want to solve it, technology can give you an answer.
