Only you know you're capable of.
WHAT DO YOU DO?
I study stars much younger than the Sun and the planets around them.
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THIS FIELD?
I love both observing nature and math. Astronomy seemed like the perfect combination of the two!
WHAT DO YOU LOOK AT & THINK, "I WISH YOUNGER ME WOULD HAVE KNOWN THIS WAS POSSIBLE?"
I would have never imagined being invited to speak at two conferences as a first year graduate student.
WHY DO YOU LOVE WORKING IN STEM?
I look forward to looking at the light from different stars. Stars are so different from each other and they're each so beautiful. I love being able to tell their stories. Also, I surprisingly look forward to coding! I started my undergraduate studies as a CS engineering major and quickly changed :)
BEST ADVICE FOR NEXT GENERATION?
Only you know you're capable of. Don't let anybody, including research advisors, tell you otherwise. Pursuing your passion comes first, and success will follow.
