I'm involved in the design of process and implementation of safety for offshore facilities O&G industry
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THIS FIELD?
I was very good at Maths and Science at school and I therefore chose to study chemical engineering. Once I started my career I decided to move into the energy industry as it is fundamental for the development of society.
WHAT DO YOU LOOK AT & THINK, "I WISH YOUNGER ME WOULD HAVE KNOWN THIS WAS POSSIBLE?"
I wish I would have got more experience through work experiences or internships.
WHY DO YOU LOVE WORKING IN STEM?
I love the challenge involved in the projects in which I work on and I love the collaboration and team work created by working with people from different STEM disciplines.
BEST ADVICE FOR NEXT GENERATION?
Believe in yourself and study hard! STEM careers are very rewarding and will allow you to develop professionally and personally.
