WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THIS FIELD?
It was during my undergraduate studies when I developed keen interest in data science and machine learning, and I had planned to do my Masters in Data Science. After completing my masters I have been working with IBM, which is a passion turned into career.
WHAT DO YOU LOOK AT & THINK, "I WISH YOUNGER ME WOULD HAVE KNOWN THIS WAS POSSIBLE?"
During my internship with IBM, I got to work with Reinforcement Learning research and could file a patent on the algorithm I developed. I realize that if you are determined to achieve something, opportunities are self created.
WHY DO YOU LOVE WORKING IN STEM?
I wake up everyday with a goal on mind to learn, learn and learn. Each day is about adding more knowledge to my mind. I wish to use the skills I have gained to make substantial change to improve human living.
BEST ADVICE FOR NEXT GENERATION?
STEM is a field which not only broadens your horizon in technical knowledge but also gives you a perspective to look at life differently. Don't ever believe if someone tells you, you can't; you are more capable than you think. Push harder
