Don’t be scared, find your passion and go for it.

What do you do?

I am a humanitarian worker, specialized in working in fragile setting. I work with our many teams all over the work to support communication affected by war or disaster. We provide health care, access to water and cleaner environment, education services, and work with people to create livelihoods and longer term development for them.

Why did you choose this field?

I was ding my undergraduate when I first had a close encounter with people affected by a massive earthquake in my home country, Iran. I then knew this was something I want to do; to help alleviate suffering of people .

What do you look at and think, "I wish younger me would have known this was possible"?

To openly get involved in politics and advocacy when it comes to defending what is right.

Why do you love working in STEM?

A better world we are and can be building together. We, women, have so much to offer to humanity and to this world. We need to believe in ourselves, support each other, and work on changes we want to see.

Best advice for next generation?

You got it all; today’s world is where you can get to learn and experience what you love and get the support and advise you need. Don’t be scared, find your passion and go for it.
