WHAT DO YOU DO?
I'm very much interested in Mathematics and Linear Algebra, Probability Theory and Convex Optimzation are my favourites. I work on projects in ML and Applied Math.
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THIS FIELD?
As soon as I enrolled for my undergraduate study, I started becoming more interested in academia and in my junior year, I realized that I enjoyed working on problems at the intersection of Machine Learning & Signal Processing. Since then, I've been consistently improving my skills required to make the most impact in my domain of interest.
WHAT DO YOU LOOK AT & THINK, "I WISH YOUNGER ME WOULD HAVE KNOWN THIS WAS POSSIBLE?"
In my college, I was chosen as the recipient of the much revered "Best All Rounder Award: Class of 2018" and "Gold Medal of Excellence & Best Student Award" from TCS. I was chosen as the winner from nominations received from students across all branches of undergraduate study. When I started my undergraduate degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering, I never thought I'd get these coveted awards 4 years later. It was a pleasant surprise.
WHY DO YOU LOVE WORKING IN STEM?
Being in STEM opens up a lot of opportunities that when rightly made use of can definitely lead to making a greater impact on the society; Being able to provide tech-related solutions to the problems collectively faced by the society is a challenge that I look forward to!
