What do you do?
I am currently researching biochemistry for targeting mutated RAS protein.
Why did you choose this field?
I have always loved science ever since I was a child so it was an easy choice to study it as I got older. I am also the only person in my family with any sort of science background.
What do you look at and think, "I wish younger me would have known this was possible"?
Getting a job in science at all as I always thought there were too many barriers that I could never get through.
Why do you love working in STEM?
The idea that this is a subject area that allows us to help a lot of people. I wake up being excited for the variety of work I get to do and the knowledge that it can really make an impact in the future.
Best advice for next generation?
Never let people tell you you cannot achieve something. If you want to go for it then go for it!
