Just follow your dreams and don't look around while doing so.
WHAT DO YOU DO?
As a program coordinator, I design the programs accordingly. I mostly focus on STEM education for girls. I do outreach programs, and also help to do the research activity on my organisation.
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THIS FIELD?
The envelope of stars on the night sky made me persue my dream to be an astrophysicist. Born up in a small village of Nepal, I used to be the only student who wanted to become an astrophysicist. As I grew up, and started finding people who are interested on it, it made me think it's not impossible to achieve it.
Also, on the outreach program, when I see the zeal of children and when I see them awestrucked with the beauty of the moon and planets, it makes me a bit more responsible, to persue this dream and also be an inspiration to them.
WHAT DO YOU LOOK AT & THINK, "I WISH YOUNGER ME WOULD HAVE KNOWN THIS WAS POSSIBLE?"
I would say every discoveries on astronomy as I was total out of the internet access.
WHY DO YOU LOVE WORKING IN STEM?
Still there is a stereotypes buzzing around, that girls can't do STEM. So I want to break those stereotypes. I wake up looking forward to the world, where there would be no wich stereotypes around.
BEST ADVICE FOR NEXT GENERATION?
Just follow your dreams and don't look around while doing so.
