What do you do?
My responsibilities include: defining the strategy and implement of the eSpace center along with the director; supporting the research initiative on sustainable space logistics; building partnerships with space agencies, industries and laboratories; managing contracts and negotiations; and establishing eSpace budget.
Why did you choose this field?
I have always been passionate by space and in particular rockets. My aim was to work on a rocket that would be launched into space and I achieved this vision while working in launch operation for RUAG Space, building fairing and installing them on the Ariane 5 and VEGA launchers.
My role models are : Sheryl Sandberg (FB, author of Lean IN) and Gwynn Shotwell (SpaceX).
What do you look at and think, "I wish younger me would have known this was possible"?
As a teenager, I have been pushed to thrive for the best. I realized latter on how lucky I have been when some people told me : "As a girl, it must have been difficult" and I was thinking "well no! I was just better in maths and physics that's it!"
Why do you love working in STEM?
Along my travels and experiences within the Space Generation Advisory Council, it also came clear to me that research, science and technologies are a great driver to improve life of everyone but also to connect countries together contributing to a more sustainable world. I wake up to make people dream and excited!
Best advice for next generation?
Listen to yourself and find the way that is the one FOR YOU! Take the decision that feels right FOR YOU.
