WHAT DO YOU DO?
I work as part of a small team analysing, interpreting and responding to the strategic issues of the global business.
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THIS FIELD?
I started my career as a GIS Analyst, yet quickly realized the part I liked most about the job was undertaking discovery work to really get to the bottom of our clients problems before making recommendations for improvements. This type of work involved qualitative and quantitative research which I thoroughly enjoyed, and therefore I made the leap to strategy which involves a large amount of research on both our company markets and competitors.
WHAT DO YOU LOOK AT & THINK, "I WISH YOUNGER ME WOULD HAVE KNOWN THIS WAS POSSIBLE?"
Whilst at University, learn to row and compete in a high performance programme, all whilst achieving a first class honours Masters degree with a thesis worthy of publication.
WHY DO YOU LOVE WORKING IN STEM?
I enjoy breaking down stereotypes and proving women have a earned place in STEM professions. I aspire to later in my career be a known feminist role model in whatever industry I find myself in.
