Don’t be discouraged.

WHAT DO YOU DO?

I am discovering new materials for high energy batteries. I also try to understand how ions move in solids and liquids.

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THIS FIELD?

I got interested in science at a very early age, both my father and my sister are scientists. The main reason I found it so interesting and freeing is because it was objective and gave answers to tough questions.

WHAT DO YOU LOOK AT & THINK, "I WISH YOUNGER ME WOULD HAVE KNOWN THIS WAS POSSIBLE?"

Managing a lab and a small team of scientists. Being invited and writing book chapters about my scientific work. Being appreciated for my knowledge.

WHY DO YOU LOVE WORKING IN STEM?

I love that it is so challenging and giving me a whole new world of ideas. Also, unlike other fields it is populated by highly intelligent and interesting people.

BEST ADVICE FOR NEXT GENERATION?

Don’t let be discouraged in the times when you cannot dedicate as much time to work as your peers can, it doesn’t make them better than you.
