If you are curious about the world around you, then that's all the motivation you need to become a scientist.

WHAT DO YOU DO?

I study our Galaxy, the Milky Way. I specifically investigate the relation between the orbits of stars and their chemical information

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THIS FIELD?

I have wanted to study Astronomy since I was 9 years old. I had the privilege to grow up looking at the beautiful night sky in the north of Chile

WHAT DO YOU LOOK AT & THINK, "I WISH YOUNGER ME WOULD HAVE KNOWN THIS WAS POSSIBLE?"

I have just finished writing my PhD thesis. In the past this was something I thought was super hard to achieve

WHY DO YOU LOVE WORKING IN STEM?

I am lucky to live in a time where there are massive spectroscopic surveys studying the stars in our Galaxy. I look forward every day to analyze this data and discover what it has to show us

BEST ADVICE FOR NEXT GENERATION?

If you are curious about the world around you, then that's all the motivation you need to become a scientist

INSPO / FUN FACT

“Nothing in life is to be feared, it is only to be understood. Now is the time to understand more, so that we may fear less.” (Marie Curie)
