When you feel doubt or fear creeping up on you, ask yourself: why not you?

WHAT DO YOU DO?

I drive product features and initiatives by defining what problems to solve, why, and how we should go about solving them. Along the way, I collaborate closely with engineers, designers, researchers, and other product managers in order to provide value for our millions of users with our product.

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THIS FIELD?

I chose to pursue a career in technology because I loved that anybody with a computer and an idea could learn to create products that provide value or fun. Out of all the roles in tech, product management shone for me because it embodies collaboration, solving people-problems, interdisciplinarity, initiative, and action. I greatly value these traits and aligning my work with my values and personality helps me thrive.

WHAT DO YOU LOOK AT & THINK, "I WISH YOUNGER ME WOULD HAVE KNOWN THIS WAS POSSIBLE?"

In university, I directed an international event where Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was the opening speaker! Growing up I wasn't sure if I'd meet the Prime Minister, much less run an event at which he or she would speak!

WHY DO YOU LOVE WORKING IN STEM?

I love that the product of my work is used by people around the world and directly shapes how they work every day. I also love working together with smart and kind peers and solving problems for others together!

BEST ADVICE FOR NEXT GENERATION?

When you feel doubt or fear creeping up on you, ask yourself: why not you?
