You are powerful, smart, and you have the ability to do whatever lights your soul on fire.

What do you do?

I prioritize the safety and health of professionals in the work place and the environment by ensuring compliance with government legislation and reporting bodies.

Why did you choose this field?

I have always been passionate about the environment and sustainability, I ultimately decided I wanted to pursue a career with greater ability to make a difference after working in the environmental field for a few years. I began my masters in Occupational Safety Management in January 2020 and I realized how much of an impact safety and environmental professionals have on the protection of employees and the environment!

What do you look at and think, "I wish younger me would have known this was possible"?

I’ve taken control of my professional career and stopped underestimating myself; this has allowed me to become a leader in the workplace and really make a difference by following my passions.

Why do you love working in STEM?

I love the constant change and new discoveries that can make a direct impact. I wake up everyday looking forward to the challenges I am faced with daily that I can overcome or face head on.

Best advice for next generation?

Don’t underestimate yourself! You are powerful, smart, and you have the ability to do whatever lights your soul on fire.
