“In the end, it'll be ok and if it is not ok, it is not the end yet.”

What do you do?

I am a researcher looking at sustainability activities and how we can foster them in society.

Why did you choose this field?

I am a curious person and as a city kid, I was interested in studying the "unknown" the environment because it made absolutely no sense to me why we were overusing our resources. Later, I realized I was also motivated by my grandfather who held a deep relationship with the land around him and that we didn't consider that enough in our research on how to manage land/ the environment/ nature.

What do you look at and think, "I wish younger me would have known this was possible"?

Being happy without fulfilling societal expectations on me as a woman - pursuing an academic career, moving countries, and being happy without the traditional expected status symbols.

Why do you love working in STEM?

Asking the questions I am curious about and being allowed to follow up my thoughts.

Best advice for next generation?

Own it and don't believe anyone who suggests that there is 'one' way.
