Just be yourself and never ever give up your dreams.
WHAT DO YOU DO?
I think I inspire other people because I’m disabled and never give up. I have no control about my upper body, do everything with my feet and speak with a TTS-App. But I‘m happy about my life and I show that.
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THIS FIELD?
My Handicap is because a mistake of a doctor after my birth in 2001. In 2011 I‘ve watched Star Trek Voyager for the first time and was faszinated. I wondered what‘s science and what‘s fiction. So I began my recherch. I found Stephen Hawking and since this time I know I want to become an cosmologician. In 2017 I had an internship at the german Aerospace Centre, in 2018 I was at CERN in Geneve and became national Fellowspeaker of „Netzwerk Teilchenwelt“ of the TU Dresden and in 2019 I had an internship at the EAC of the ESA. It’s my life and I decide about it!
WHAT DO YOU LOOK AT & THINK, "I WISH YOUNGER ME WOULD HAVE KNOWN THIS WAS POSSIBLE?"
I don’t know... I always said to me that there‘s nothing that’s imposible.
WHY DO YOU LOVE WORKING IN STEM?
I want to show to other peoples that everything is posible and you can be happy with a Handicap, too!
BEST ADVICE FOR NEXT GENERATION?
Just be yourself and never ever give up your dreams.
