Girl, you can do it. This world is crazy but there is a dream job out there for you.

What do you do?

I train district staff with technology needs and wants to enhance their skill set to support their daily roles with a variety of tech tools.

Why did you choose this field?

My mother is a retired teacher of 40 years in public education. My father is a retired technology director who served 40 years in public education. I have always wanted to find a role somewhere in the middle.

What do you look at and think, "I wish younger me would have known this was possible"?

I am still in disbelief this is my job. I love what I do and my younger self can’t believe I’m actually doing it! I believe follow inspiring educators and keeping relationships with mentors over the years has been huge for me.

Why do you love working in STEM?

I truly wake up looking forward to learning from my teammates, administrators and teachers to take risks. These incredible educators take what I have trained them on and make something magical with students or audiences.

Best advice for next generation?

Girl, you can do it. This world is crazy but there is a dream job out there for you. If you don’t see one, create one. Don’t be afraid to ask for help and always be open to learning from others around you.
