WHAT DO YOU DO?
I'm a researcher and professor, and my job is focused in rehabilitation technologies and neuroengineering. I lead a group of wonderful people that design devices and we use it in the public hospital . Also, I work in neurosurgical planning applied to Parkinsons and other neurological diseases
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THIS FIELD?
I choose to work in neurorehabiliation and some neurosciences lines, because the brain is the most fantastic organ and the science has a challenge to understand the brain functioning, using the brain to solve it. Also, my father has a neruodegenerative disease, so I can see the need of help and solutions to improve the quality of life
WHAT DO YOU LOOK AT & THINK, "I WISH YOUNGER ME WOULD HAVE KNOWN THIS WAS POSSIBLE?"
To travel and open my horizons , I started to late
WHY DO YOU LOVE WORKING IN STEM?
Because we are moving all the time, there is new trends, new challenges, and we are learning all the time. This is fascinating for me. I wake up every morning searching a new motivation.. tthis is mobilizing and at the same time it keeps me busy all the time

The best advice, to believe in a real equality , taking care of the professional development and for the family without conditions. And believe in their capacities and the own shine
