WHAT DO YOU DO?
I work in a drug discovery company, have been a technician in various fields ever since graduation, I have various skills and help a team of chemist and biologist in drug discovery accompanied by laboratory management.
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THIS FIELD?
I have always enjoyed science but I have more so enjoyed putting things in to practice and providing technical support, help in cell culture and get really into the element of scientific research through hands on experience
WHAT DO YOU LOOK AT & THINK, "I WISH YOUNGER ME WOULD HAVE KNOWN THIS WAS POSSIBLE?"
That there is opportunity in everything, even the most “littlest” title, has a great impact in every STEM career. So looking ahead I would wish to have a moving forward approach in every skill and aspect learned
WHY DO YOU LOVE WORKING IN STEM?
I wake up looking forward to a great team, with various roles and making the little to large difference in the scientific industry and within society
BEST ADVICE FOR NEXT GENERATION?
I would say have an open mind and search from all ends of STEM, do not limit yourself to a title or salary or certain position always be open to every opportunity
