“Don't let anyone rob you of your imagination, your creativity, or your curiosity. It's your place in the world; it's your life. Go on and do all you can with it, and make it the life you want to live.” - Mae Jemison

What do you do?

I am a student, a part-time tutor tutoring Maths and Science in London, a working intern working at a software organisation as a part of their inside sales.I'm also the current President of King's Connect, a KCL society which connects non-technical students with technical students and gives them entrepreneurship opportunities. Alongside, I won the KCL student union elections and was awarded the role of Women's Officer, a role responsible for supporting women students around campus and ensuring gender equality.

Why did you choose this field?

I've always been inspired by my parents work ethic. To build a software start-up and expanding it to different countries including UAE, India, UK and USA is very inspiring and it was one of main reasons for me to choose this career field.

What do you look at and think, "I wish younger me would have known this was possible"?

One of my biggest achievements was joining King's College London. Now I can look back and say, if one works hard for their dreams, everything is possible.

Why do you love working in STEM?

I get excited to work on something new and in STEM there's always room to explore.

Best advice for next generation?

One of my favourite quotes, “Don't let anyone rob you of your imagination, your creativity, or your curiosity. It's your place in the world; it's your life. Go on and do all you can with it, and make it the life you want to live.” - Mae Jemison, first African American woman astronaut in space

Inspo quote / fun fact / role model

'Always do the right thing, no matter how difficult it may be and never compromise on your values.'
