Aim for the Stars.

What do you do?

Help our customers get the best experience and be successful by enabling them to engage with best in class Technical experts.

Why did you choose this field?

I am a very people-centric person who enjoys helping people grow and also solve some of the most complex problems. Being in this role helps me achieve both by being a people leader and helping customers solve the most complex problems.
I realised that I had good people skills and ability to lead early on in my school days and never hesitated to take up situational leadership roles and my passion in rallying people towards causes that I believed to be good for everyone.
Being the only child of working parents I was brought to be a very independent and bold child. I would take risks, make decisions and didn’t need anyone to protect me from difficult situations. I looked at all the downturn and disappointing situations in my life as a positive learning experience that only made me tougher and resilient. I had to make a tough choice of waking out of my first marriage since I wanted to be treated on par with my husband and then lived as a single mom for 9 yrs while moving to a new country with a small child and learning to balance my life and career.

What do you look at and think, "I wish younger me would have known this was possible"?

Ability to live on my own without any support as a single mom and my child turning out to be happy and successful

Why do you love working in STEM?

I would love every woman out there to know that they can have a successful personal life as well as a career and they are second to none. I would love to see 50% of STEM jobs and leadership roles being occupied for women and we no longer having to talk about gender diversity anymore. I run a women in technology Facebook group with global membership of 3000 members. Off late I am thrilled to see many members from Africa and other developing countries.

Best advice for next generation?

Aim for the Stars. Career should not even be an option and seeking a very rewarding career should be attainable given we now have so many more role models and supporting eco system we are in now.
