WHAT DO YOU DO?

I work on transforming a circuit description into the physical layout for chip production along with developing and supporting tools, flows, and methods for chip designing.

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THIS FIELD?

“Anything can be designed and built with discrete electronic components and put into an thumbnail sized integrated circuit made up of wires, transistors, resistors and other components”, are my professor’s words in his first linear integrated circuit lecture which set me thinking about the functioning of products like mobile, robot, laptop etc. That's when I decided I want to enter chip designing.

WHAT DO YOU LOOK AT & THINK, "I WISH YOUNGER ME WOULD HAVE KNOWN THIS WAS POSSIBLE?"

Working on the chips in the products which are in market ( You might be using a laptop whose chip I would have worked on ;) )

WHY DO YOU LOVE WORKING IN STEM?

I love the fact that you can innovate and create an impact

BEST ADVICE FOR NEXT GENERATION?

Remain a lifelong student. Don't lose that curiosity.
