You belong in science and the success of many stands proof of that.

WHAT DO YOU DO?

I study phloem-feeding insects and the bacterial plant pathogen transmitted by them.

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THIS FIELD?

Interactions between plants, insect vectors, and the insect-borne plant pathogens have always fascinated me. I am thrilled to find the application of several evolutionary hypotheses in my findings.

WHAT DO YOU LOOK AT & THINK, "I WISH YOUNGER ME WOULD HAVE KNOWN THIS WAS POSSIBLE?"

Generally, people get fascinated to work with human diseases. I wish I had known more about plant and insect consciousness at molecular levels and how beautifully they are connected to us.

WHY DO YOU LOVE WORKING IN STEM?

I love the prospect of being creative and learning simultaneously. I always look forward to learning the complex mechanisms going on in all the living systems.

BEST ADVICE FOR NEXT GENERATION?

You belong in science and the success of many stands proof of that.
