WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THIS FIELD?
I watched 'An Inconvenient Truth' when I was younger. This movie really made me realize how significant the human impact on the environment was, and it was the real motivator for my desire to pursue a environmentally conscious job.
WHAT DO YOU LOOK AT & THINK, "I WISH YOUNGER ME WOULD HAVE KNOWN THIS WAS POSSIBLE?"
Starting a masters degree is something I never thought I would do. I want the younger me to know no matter what she THINKS, she should go ahead and try, because more often than not, that's what makes the difference.
WHY DO YOU LOVE WORKING IN STEM?
No two days are the same, because no two buildings are the same. You will never be bored, because the problem is always changing, and you continuously have to grow.
BEST ADVICE FOR NEXT GENERATION?
Find all the opportunities you can. Going to school and attending class is great, but walk up to your teacher, offer to do research, joins lots of clubs, really immerse yourself in your field of work.
