If [you] fall flat, get back up with double the rigor and strive forward.
WHAT DO YOU DO?
I motivate and inspire high school students to use DRIPBL (Dream Research Innovate Project Based Learning) to think outside the box using creative thinking and problem solving mindset and think beyond science fair and grades.
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THIS FIELD?
I am very passionate to give these opportunities to students in high school because I did not get these opportunities while growing up. Now I run 7 clubs at school, have applied for 4 provisional patents and established 3 LLC's all by 9th and 10th grade students. Motivate the students to apply for grants. Have been awarded 2 Lemelson-MIT excite awards, Honorable mention for Presidential Innovation Award, Global Innovation Award from Turnitin and many more.
WHAT DO YOU LOOK AT & THINK, "I WISH YOUNGER ME WOULD HAVE KNOWN THIS WAS POSSIBLE?"
Known the resources that students can access through me Writing grants for MIT, HONDA, CENTURY LINK, LEXUZ ECO CHALLENGE grants and get $10K to work on my dream project.
WHY DO YOU LOVE WORKING IN STEM?
I am a researcher and honey bee scientist. STEM is a way to realize the connection between reality and imagination. Pay it forward to the community and make life easy by creative imagination.
BEST ADVICE FOR NEXT GENERATION?
Not to give up on their dreams and if they fall flat in their faces, get back up with double the rigor and strive forward.
