WHAT DO YOU DO?
I help companies make better decisions. From formulating business scope and needs to delivering insights, analysts work with the core of a business, which is data.
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THIS FIELD?
Ever since I was a kid, I had this desire to pursue something different.
I wanted to navigate my career in forensic and criminal psychology, but eventually ended up pursuing computer science. During my undergrad, I kept myself involved with various leadership opportunities. These experiences helped me grow and believe in my individual perspective. While working for a non profit as a CSR Head, I knew my true calling was helping organisations and communities.
So I took a chance and moved to the US to pursue business analytics. My curiosity and passion for investigating data acted as a medium to bridge the gap between my intention and the impact I want to create.
WHAT DO YOU LOOK AT & THINK, "I WISH YOUNGER ME WOULD HAVE KNOWN THIS WAS POSSIBLE?"
1) I wish younger me would have known that I can inspire other females to be fearless!
2) I wish younger me would have known that dreaming big is not a problem just because I am a female.
I am checking off goals and dreaming big everyday!
3) I wish younger me would have known that saying no won't make me impolite as all it has done is made me more confident.
4) I wish younger me would have known that female friendships and mentorship exist.
Currently, I am advancing my skill set and working towards promoting diversity and mentorship.
WHY DO YOU LOVE WORKING IN STEM?
1) The learning never stops
2) There are multiple ways to solve a problem which leads to optimization and innovation
3) You are always looking up to someone and feeling inspired
4) It is the future.
