Every step in a new yet necessary direction will invite imposter syndrome- find a support group and get comfortable with being uncomfortable.

WHAT DO YOU DO?

While interacting with consumers/businesses, I build and manage machine learning models to solve business problems related to marketing analytics, fraud analytics, and customer experience.

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THIS FIELD?

I learn through curiosity, and I loved the idea of solving business problems with a strong foundation of technology. I had great mentors along the way, and because of that I give back by mentoring and creating content to inspire women/girls in tech.

WHAT DO YOU LOOK AT & THINK, "I WISH YOUNGER ME WOULD HAVE KNOWN THIS WAS POSSIBLE?"

The ability to pivot and therefore innovate- it is really important in technology. I did not start off with an intention to land in data science in college, but I took risks and pivoted to learn computer science and loved it ever since! My curiosity grew and motivated me to explore data science, machine learning, artificial intelligence at work and with my company.

WHY DO YOU LOVE WORKING IN STEM?

There is very little room to be bored- there is always something new to learn and always space to experiment and innovate. I love using the insights from data and creation to solve complex problems.

BEST ADVICE FOR NEXT GENERATION?

Every step in a new yet necessary direction will invite imposter syndrome- find a support group and get comfortable with being uncomfortable.
