WHAT DO YOU DO?
I work as a Tech Lead at Pagar.me, a digital payments ecosystem, where I’m helping the digital unity to define and apply quality processes, procedures, and techniques to deliver high-quality software that solves our customers’ needs.
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THIS FIELD?
I really like to learn new things and teach people about what I've learned, so to be a Tech Leader gives me the opportunity to learn every day with different people in software development and help them.
WHAT DO YOU LOOK AT & THINK, "I WISH YOUNGER ME WOULD HAVE KNOWN THIS WAS POSSIBLE?"
I think to be a leader in tech companies is something I never thought about when I was younger. STEM is a male area, so women need to survive in this area trying every day to show her knowledge. It's hard but not impossible and I'm working hard to have more women with me.
WHY DO YOU LOVE WORKING IN STEM?
I love the opportunity to change people's lives through the products that we deliver and help other minorities to know about technology and conquer their space.
BEST ADVICE FOR NEXT GENERATION?
I like Sheryl Sandberg's advice that we, girls, need to 'Sit At The Table'. It's hard because, for example, that women who are “assertive” are too often perceived as “aggressive”, but we need to sit at the table and conquer our space. Find other girls that can support you and keep going!
