During my School days I liked horse riding very much and although I wanted to be Doctor, I have preferred Vet School for it. I was the first lady post-graduate in Veterinary Surgery and Radiology from Assam Agricultural University, College of Veterinary Science, Khanapara, Guwahati, Assam.
Since the very beginning of my career I have been actively engaged with social development sector through professional activities. I have been contributing to the sphere of welfare of the animals as well as mankind to a great extent. Besides associated with the organization as Programme Director , I am also acting as lead Veterinarian and a Small Animal Surgeon.
What do you look at and think, "I wish younger me would have known this was possible"?
As a Small Animal Surgeon & Clinician at Hiyaa’s (Clinic and Surgical Centre for pets), I would like to transform it into a beautiful busy Vet Polyclinic with all the hitech facilities of a Diagnostic laboratory and Operation Theatre. Next I want to achieve is my organizations dream project i.e. JIRAW(JBF’s Integrated Research Centre For Animal Welfare)to be complete which is still under construction.
