Don't be afraid - it is 100% better to try and to fail than to have never attempted.
WHAT DO YOU DO?
I co-founded a females network - which leads initiatives that connect and empower females to share stories. In the first 5 months, we've hosted 12 events, empowered over 400 females and been shortlisted for 2 national awards - including Tech Business Woman of the Year 2018 by PwC. We run an Instagram and LinkedIn account which showcases our activities and a website where we upload blogs.
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THIS FIELD?
As a female and woman of colour, I wanted to lead change and build a network of females who strive together and support each other. We use tech, insight and social media to drive our female base and real live events to build connections.
WHAT DO YOU LOOK AT & THINK, "I WISH YOUNGER ME WOULD HAVE KNOWN THIS WAS POSSIBLE?"
Being nominated and achieving the Rising Star award UK 2017 by We Are The City.
WHY DO YOU LOVE WORKING IN STEM?
No day or no problem is the same - as the needs and data are ever evolving and everyone is becoming more innovative. We are using data, insights and STEM initiatives to build a community online and in real life - understanding our base, their preferences and their needs.
BEST ADVICE FOR NEXT GENERATION?
Don't be afraid - it's 100 % better to try and to fail than to have never attempted.
