Follow your passion/interest.
WHAT DO YOU DO?
Apart from my day to day job, I do volunteering. I run my own podcast/show SoLeadSaturday (Solid Leadership Saturday). It talks about passion, interest, career choice, growth and leadership. So far I had leaders from data science , AI, marketing , real estate and hiring / recruitment. Getting a great response, so let’s see where does it lead :-)
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THIS FIELD?
I think when it comes to career growth it’s always important that one should adapt certain skills as well as be flexible to learn new things.
WHAT DO YOU LOOK AT & THINK, "I WISH YOUNGER ME WOULD HAVE KNOWN THIS WAS POSSIBLE?"
Yes considering my current Social Index being on LinkedIn, I feel I would have started this couple of years back. But it’s never late so I am happy that things are working in better direction.
WHY DO YOU LOVE WORKING IN STEM?
It gives me visibility as well as little more certainty of my stay in United States. As I like to be independent and cherish the individualism .
BEST ADVICE FOR NEXT GENERATION?
I would be happy to mentor them if they are looking for a guidance but as of now I would only say that follow your passion/interest.
